So your loved one is locked up in prison for an internet sex sting where they were speaking to an adult and there was no real victim. There was only talk but no sexual act. They get sentenced and are now spending years in prison with years of probation to follow and a life of registry. If that is not bad enough check this out.

A person who has committed murder and was not sentenced to life is eligible for work release. Yes if they fit the criteria they can participate in a work release program. If you have been accused of any sexual offense, you cannot qualify for work release period. It does not matter whether there was a victim or not. It does not matter the nature of the crime. Non violent sex offenders will never have the chance to be eligible.

Tell me that is not messed up. So the person who murdered someone is safer than the one who had a sexual role playing conversation with an adult woman.

This is why it is so important that they cases be evaluated on a case to case basis. This is why they need to figure out who is the real threat to society and who is not. True a murderer may never murder again, and if they have been evaluated and rehabilitated and are able to get a chance, why can't the guy who went onto an adult chat room looking for an adult woman be given the same opportunity for evaluation?

If you are reading this, whether you agree with me or not, you have to see that this is messed up. You have to realize that they are categorizing all sex offenders as a threat and placing them all in the same boat without giving non threatening non violent offenders a chance. People with no previous charges and no history of any unlawful acts are being sentenced more harshly then repeat offenders arrested on different types of violent crimes.

It is clear that you do the crime you do your time does not apply here, because no matter what a sex offender will never stop paying for their charge.

Who out there is going to change this? Who is going to step up and help these men arrested for these crimes get a fair chance at life?
